INTRODUCTION TO
HE SCIENCE FOUNDATION

The HE Science Foundation is a non-profit fund established by Mr. He Xiangjian, the founder of Midea Group. It was officially launched on May 21, 2023, with the aim of contributing to scientific progress and economic prosperity through sustainable and independent operations. The foundation was established with a personal contribution of 3 billion Chinese yuan (RMB) by Mr. He Xiangjian and is operated by Guangdong Meize Technology Development Co., Ltd.

The vision of the foundation is to promote global scientific progress and technological innovation and make a contribution to the development of human civilization. The mission of the foundation is to provide more technological solutions for the future development and challenges of the earth, support basic research, original technological breakthroughs, and medium- to long-term research, promote international scientific research cooperation, collaborate with world-leading scientific institutions and researchers to achieve new scientific breakthroughs and support the cultivation and development of young scientists and researchers, providing them with opportunities for exploration and innovation, and helping them become future scientific leaders.

The foundation focuses on innovative, forward-looking, and important research projects, with a particular emphasis on areas that have a significant impact on the world economy and human civilization, including but not limited to medical and life sciences, green energy and climate change, etc. Through specific initiatives such as the He Research Fellowship, the foundation continuously promotes the development of new technologies, benefiting human society.
